7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Paul. Galatians 6:7, 8. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 11 of 30 Days of Growing. Who you are today is the harvest of all the little decisions you’ve made up to this point. Really. It’s not primarily the product of your mama or your neighbor or the high school bully. Honest. Yes, all of those interactions left a mark, but fundamentally, it’s the decisions YOU have made, that—like seeds pressed into fertile soil—have made you the person you are today. Ok, so maybe I’ve just sucked the wind out of your sails—but, hang on for just a few seconds more. First, there is redemption and recovery for the harvest you’re facing today. Second, if you take this whole decision-sowing concept seriously, you can begin planting the decision-seeds today in anticipation of the person you will meet in the mirror tomorrow. You really don’t have to go on reaping the same, disappointing personal harvest. You CAN make little steps every day that will one day accumulate in a surprising, wonderful transformed you—all nurtured gently by the Divine Farmer.
