Unknown. 2 Kings 6:17. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is a Bonus Day in 30 Days of Prayer. Imagine that moment. Gazing out the open window on the hoard of enemy soldiers—and then seeing a most magnificent sight, as the misty veil of the unseen becomes transparent, and their before your eyes, you seen a vast gathering of supernatural warriors assembled on the horizon, electric with power and authority. It’s no wonder Elisha had no fear of facing the puny Assyrian forces, sprawled across the landscape. They weren’t a match for one of those majestic, angelic warriors. Sometimes we, too, would be wise to pray that our eyes may see the unseen. We may not be greeted with a vision of supernatural warriors—though that is most certainly a possibility. Perhaps more often we’ll be granted supernatural insight to discern the moving of God’s hand in the middle of our puzzling or painful circumstances. Perhaps we will get a glimpse of God’s great, kind heart embracing, sustaining us. Whatever the answer, as we yield our hearts to seeing through God’s eyes, we will be strengthened and comforted for the moment and the road ahead.
