You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Jesus. Matthew 5:43-45. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 28 of 30 Days on the Mount of Blessing. Jesus finally gets to the bottom line: everything he’s been teaching has lead up to this single conclusion. You’re children of the kindest, most beautiful Being in the whole universe—and that should seep into every piece of our lives. He’s good to every single human being every single day—showering them with numberless blessings—and that’s precisely how he want’s your life to be lived out in your own relational intersections. He wants the world you inhabit to see him in your words, your facial expressions, your reactions. Everything about you should tell the story of this beautiful king, with the potential of awakening a thirst in the heart’s of those you meet to get to know him, too.
