9Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
Jesus. Matthew 5:9. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 8 of 30 Days on the Mount of Blessing. The children of God are peacemakers. Not picketers or gossips. Not rabble-rousers or flame-throwers. They don’t come into the room to stir the pot, but rather to try and resolve the quarrel. They push for healing and wholeness—not division or conquest. It isn’t that they won’t stand their ground for what they hold to be true, but that they don’t confuse ‘courage’ with rudeness or disrespect. They don’t excuse poor behavior in the defense of right causes. They embrace both deep grace and great courage—and a discerning heart in the entire process.They actively contribute to peace and reconciliation in every relational intersection, to the very best of their capacity. They deeply value every person they see—holding the well-being of others as chief personal concern.
