Transcript
Nathan:

Matthew 18:10, 11 (NKJV): Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. 11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

Jesus. Matthew:

Little ones. Jesus is talking about children—but then, maybe more. Maybe he’s talking about little ones whose age in years says they’re not kids anymore—but whose hearts are still fragile. Whose faith is still young. It must be said that to whatever level we are more mature than those around us, we hold a sacred responsibility to employ that maturity to their benefit. Not ours. The walking wounded are all around us. Our words, our looks, our decisions, our actions can topple them—and some will never get back up again. But we can also lift them up. We can be the hands and heart of Jesus in their dark days. We can be the one who wipes the tears, who steadies their wobbly legs. The one who helps to quiet quivering hearts. We can give life to the ones whose angels always see God’s face. In fact, next time you talk to anyone—I mean anyone—remember their real-world, supernatural-extrastrial-superhero-guardian, always sees the face of the Holy One, the Magnificent, unequaled Crafter of Galaxies. Yes. Their protectors. See that face. The face of God. So maybe, just maybe, it would be very wise to treat others with care—especially the little ones.
