Paul. Hebrews 13:5-6. Hi, it’s Nathan and we’re on day 13 of 30 days of promise. Never alone. To this day I remember that scary moment when, as a kid, I awoke to find my parents had left the house and gone out to work in our garden. My sister and I weren’t in any danger, yet we felt the fear of abandonment at that moment. Knowing we will never be abandoned by God is the surest way to short-circuit fear. If I can be certain that in my crisis God will not walk out on me, that changes everything. It may not avert the crisis—but it can calm the crisis of the heart. It can vaporize fear, ease excited nerves. Yes, God has promised, he will never abandon you. Ever.
