Jesus. John 6:27. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 29 of 30 Days on the Mount of Blessing, pt 3–and other sayings of Jesus.
Every day, every minute you live, you’re turning your life into something. You press your life into the great toy-making-machine—and out comes something. A fast car? A big house? I mean, literally, you can look at that huge, expensive home that you’ve spent sleepless nights working to have—and that’s you. Literally. That’s what you’ve been boiled down to, over those days, weeks, months of hard work—that part of your life has become just a shiny collection of boards, fasteners, shingles and marble. That’s it. That’s all that span of your life amounts to. All of who you’ve been has been converted into something that a fire, tornado or mudslide could destroy in a moment. Do you really want your life to be converted into something so illusive and temporary? The other option is investing your life in ways that count for eternity.
