Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus. Matthew 5:19. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 15 of 30 Days on the Mount of Blessing. God’s laws were given to preserve life. To define and guard the relational integrity of our relationship with God and our fellow human beings. When we disregard even the simplest of these laws, it is to our own hurt—not to mention the impact on those around us. Everywhere he turned, Jesus saw the ruin brought about by violation of divine law. His great heart longed for the wholeness and well-being of every person—in fact, every part of creation. Yet the constant violation of the very principles put in place for the prosperity of man and planet, were wreaking havoc.
