Paul. Rom. 8:6. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 25 of 30 Days to a Better Marriage. The carnal mind is an old way of saying, ‘self-absorbed, fallen heart.’ A marriage built on the shifting sands of human passion and self-interest will implode. It’s common practice in our ‘modern society’, to try and fuel the flames of romance through exposure to sexually stimulating media or experiences—but genuine, life-long romance is not fueled by, or grounded in, the raw stimulation of our fallen desires. Self-centered sexual fantasy is shallow, fleeting—even destructive—while romance born of faithful love is nurturing, healing, life-long.
