12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Writer to the Hebrews. Hebrews 12:1, 2. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 28 of 30 Days of Growing. Think of the faith-heroes that have traversed the course of life before you. Moses. Abraham. Sally. Paul. Job. Micheal. Silas. Martha. Jeff. Huss. Martin. Penny. Al. Stop hanging out at the start line, cut the weight and get in the race, too! After all, the Champion, has finished the race successfully—and you run in his wake. He started this thing in our lives—put the longing to run, to finish well. He got us to take that first, tentative step—he can—and will—take us across the finish line, if we will rest in his unfailing, strong heart.
