You have put gladness in my heart,
More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
The Psalmist. Psalm 4:7. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 10 of 30 Days of Psalms. Our addiction to financial gain often robs us of real joy and satisfaction in life. The Psalmist came to discover that a glad heart was the result—not of a bountiful harvest, or the generous return on an investment—but a personal gift from God. The sooner we discover the real source of gladness in life, the less our hearts will be driven by lesser motives with their fleeting rewards. True gladness overflows from the heart of God—and where our hearts intersect its flow, we feel its healing rush.
